Map Pack 2 will contain 4 new maps, ‘Banzai‘, ‘Corrosion’, and the bombed out submarines of ‘Sub Pens’, the pack being completed with the Zombie Swamp ‘Shi No Numa’. The pack also contains a new weapon, the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and new flaming hounds and traps.

Xbox Live Down Time

Xbox live will be down on June 16th for maintenance. This goes in to effect at 12:01AM PST and will be down for ‘up to 24 hours’. The My Xbox section of Xbox.com will be down also and the forums will be put in read-only mode. This won’t implement any new features and is just a scheduled maintenance to prepare Live for some of the features announced at E3.

Modern Warfare 2 Brings WaW’s Black Box Co-Op

It has been confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will have a co-op mode (Special Forces Mode) and taking a card from Call of Duty: World at War, the split screen co-op will have the ‘the black box’ style. It is unconfirmed whether or not there will be online co-op but get ready to say bye to a good portion of your shared screen. On a lighter note Modern Warfare 2 will be running on InfintyWard’s latest edition of their engine (4.0) so we can enjoy the best graphics yet in the series.

Assassin’s Creed II Multiplayer

It has been confirmed Assassin’s Creed 2 will have a multiplayer component to it, but it may or may not be DLC only. The online mode, called “La Villa”, will allow players to create their own room decorated with objects that we get to move in the Story Mode of Assassin’s Creed 2 and invite your friends to visit, similar to the apartments of PlayStation Home. Any other details are unknown.
Uncharted 2 – Beta Review

Three words… FUN AS HELL. I don’t usually play games on the PS3, but if I do they are usually exclusives. I never got a chance to play the first Uncharted besides the demo but the multiplayer in Uncharted 2 is extremely fun. I have to say that I am extremely picky when it comes to multiplayer and for me the mechanics have to be up to par with my standards. Uncharted 2 has pulled that off as well as giving you a leveling system along with perks and the ability to earn money (even though I can’t seem to figure out what the money is for yet, unless that is just how you level up). In the Beta there are two modes; Deathmatch(team) and Plunder. Team Deathmatch is obvious while Plunder is a Capture The Flag type mode only instead of a flag there is a treasure. Picking up the treasure will slow you down but you have the ability to toss the treasure to a team mate or closer to a team mate. Some of the perks include extended clip, increased blindfire or aimed accuracy and hold more ammunition. I would buy this game just for the multiplayer and I would presume they will add more online modes once the game is released. Uncharted 2 Beta – Thumbs Up.
